The case thread on this configuration is M10 x 1 metric, with 20 mm of unthreaded length and a 170 mm overall case. The 20 mm unthreaded section is the part that has to seat fully in the holder for the probe to reach its specified gap — a probe that threads in but bottoms out before the unthreaded section seats will read erratically rather than fail cleanly. Confirm full seating before energising the monitor channel.

Follow the torque specification for the specific mounting arrangement rather than a general figure: probe case torque requirements differ between forward-mounted and reverse-mounted installations, and over-torquing the case compromises the seal that holds differential pressure between tip and case. These probes are not field-repairable when that seal fails.
